Policy Enforcement

Policy Enforcement will facilitate validating your APIs' compliance with governance policies before deployment, ensuring that best practices are followed and that APIs are ready for the production environment.

NOTE
Policy Enforcement is available from Sensedia CLI version 2.13.0 onwards.

This functionality was designed to be integrated into your automation pipelines, allowing for a continuous and uninterrupted workflow to ensure your APIs consistently meet governance requirements.

Validation Context

Policy Enforcement is a multi-gateway functionality, which means that APIs can be on different gateways, including Sensedia's API Management or others.

ssd apply Command

Follow the steps below to apply governance policy compliance validation:

Step 1

Access Adaptive Governance and follow the steps to create the CLI command and download the .yaml file.

Step 2

In the Sensedia CLI, execute the command ssd apply -f [file-name].yaml. Replace [file-name] with the name of the file you downloaded. Do not use the "[]". If the API complies with the specified policy, the command will return a success message. Otherwise, the command will return an error message indicating what was not in compliance.
