What is the ideal frequency for refreshing data in Dashboards?
|
To ensure good Analytics performance and the effectiveness of the information displayed in the panels, the minimum recommended time for Dashboard update (refresh) is 30 seconds. More frequent updates will not result in new data and may generate undesirable system behavior. |
Why is this the recommended interval?
The internal data availability process occurs approximately every 30 seconds. This means that if the Dashboard is updated before this interval, it will not have more recent information.
Additionally, the system has a rate limit of 1000 requests per minute. Very short update settings (like 1 second) may exceed this limit, triggering protection mechanisms, such as:
-
Temporary
404Error -
Automatic Logout
-
Momentary request block
These mechanisms exist to guarantee system stability in high-load environments.
Recommendation
Configure the Refresh every field with a value equal to or greater than 30 seconds.
This practice avoids:
-
Unnecessary request consumption
-
Triggering system protections
-
Performance issues in Dashboards with many panels (visualizations)
-
Negative impact in environments with multiple users

| Avoid very short update intervals, especially in complex Dashboards or with a large volume of simultaneous users. |
