How can I configure and use environment variables?

Environment variables are variables with unique values within a specific environment. They are used as extra configuration for an environment, allowing customising requests so as to easily alternate between different contexts.

You don’t need to use environment variables, but they make the process of designing and managing APIs easier. If you want to include them, you can register them when creating or editing an environment. See the registration details and an example of usage here.
