Apply Command and Schemas

The Sensedia CLI offers a powerful and efficient way to manage your Adaptive Governance resources: the declarative mode, which uses the ssd apply command in conjunction with application schemas defined in .yaml files.

How It Works

With declarative mode, application schemas are provided as .yaml files, where the structure and properties of the resources are already defined. Thus, each resource is described with its attributes, relationships, and configurations — as configured in Adaptive Governance, under Policies.

Instead of issuing commands one by one to create or update resources, the desired state of your environment is described in this already structured .yaml file. The ssd apply command reads this file and takes charge of performing all necessary operations to ensure your resources exactly match what is specified.

This approach focuses on "what" you want, not "how" to achieve it. The intention is defined in the file, and the Sensedia CLI executes the steps. This is extremely useful for automation processes, for example, when integrating your CI/CD pipelines for provisioning and governance.
